Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Featuring ten sleepy dinosaurs, this adorable picture book from prize-winning writer Jane Yolen and best-selling illustrator Mark Teague celebrates the funny, endearing, naughty bedtime behavior of young children... and young dinosaurs.

Amazon.com Review
"How does a dinosaur say good night when Papa comes in to turn off the light? Does a dinosaur slam his tail and pout? Does he throw his teddy bear all about? Does a dinosaur stomp his feet on the floor and shout: 'I want to hear one book more!'? DOES A DINOSAUR ROAR?" Most certainly not. Dinosaurs give their mommies and daddies big hugs and kisses, tuck their tales in, and whisper "Good night!"

Every sleepy little dinosaur will recognize the tricks of the trade in these bedtime shenanigans. The chuckle factor is sky-high here, with giant, full-page pictures of cleverly identified Tyrannosaurus rexes, triceratopses, and Pteranodons. A variety of human mothers and fathers trying to put their dinosaur children to bed will bring the point home that the story may have something to do with human kid behavior as well. This good-natured nighttime book is sure to be a winner (even though it might inspire a few noisy dinosaur antics), especially as it's written by Jane Yolen, prolific Caldecott Medalist author of Owl Moon. Yolen and Mark Teague have teamed up to create a fun, silly, playful read-aloud. (Ages 3 to 7) --Emilie Coulter

5 out of 5 stars Unique & Funny   January 7, 2009
I enjoyed this book and the one where they eat all there food. My daughters favorite part is when the dinosaur roars.

5 out of 5 stars What a fun book for kids!   December 22, 2008
My son's pre-k teacher read this book to the class when I told her about my son's bedtime issues. She then let him borrow it, and we read it over and over, to the point that I realized I had to buy him his own book, or I'd never be able to give the other one back to the teacher without it being missed. He interacts with it, reads along and just loves the story. I would recommend these Jane Yolen books to anyone with young children.

5 out of 5 stars Great story to get my son in bed!   December 12, 2008
My 3 year old son loves this book. He sees the dinosaurs using good manners at bed time and he wants to do the same thing. Love it!

5 out of 5 stars CHRISTMAS GIFT   November 13, 2008

4 out of 5 stars Great visuals, mediocre writing   September 30, 2008
My two-and-half-year-old daughter loves these "How-To" dinosaur books. I bought How Do Dinosaurs Go To School? first, which she was hooked on and triggered me to buy this one, which she equally loves. She can memorize and articulate the 10 dinosaurs names provided in the book, just as she could with the other dinosaur book, which also introduces 10 types of dinosaurs. However, while the illustrations are highly entertaining to a toddler, the language, like that in the other book, is quite lackluster. It would be ideal if the book also shed literary value and were enjoyable to read aloud to a child as well.
