Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
Nina Laden's illustrations in this simple, rhyming board book are truly magical. The format is straightforward: on alternating two-page spreads, the words "Peek a" are repeated, opposite an illustrated page with a die-cut hole, behind which lurks a cow ("MOO!"), a green ghost ("BOO!"), and a mirror (you guessed it, "YOU!"). The youngest readers will delight in trying to guess who--or what--is peeking through the window, and can easily grip the baby-fist-size holes to turn the pages for the answers. The picture of the "ZOO!" is fabulous. Through the hole, all that can be seen is a wild pattern of colors, stripes, and spots. Turn the page, and find a wild kingdom of animals, one in front of the other: peacock, zebra, penguin, cheetah, elephant, and more. Ready for more peekaboo fun? Try Nina Laden's Ready, Set, Go! . (Baby to preschool) --Emilie Coulter

Product Description
Colorful pictures and simple rhyming texts help children guess what's peeking through the die-cut windows in these two fun board books. The anticipation of what's hiding on the next page and the bright, engaging illustrations will keep youngsters guessing and giggling all the way to the suprise endings.

5 out of 5 stars One great book!   January 1, 2009
Jubilee, my 7 month old grand baby loves this book! It always makes her smile. Check it out at your local library and then buy it for your favorite baby as I did :-]

5 out of 5 stars My 7-month old loves it!   December 31, 2008
My sister got this for my 7-month old daughter for Christmas. She loves it. It keeps her attention and she kicks her little legs in excitement each time I read it to her. I like how the pages give you a little hint as to what will be on the following page (cow print for cow, train tracks for train, etc...). I also like that it is nice and short, perfect for the attention span of my little one.

5 out of 5 stars Fun Book!   December 31, 2008
My two-year-old granddaughter loves this fun little book. It's sturdy enough to withstand her exuberant reading style. After a couple of days, she was able to "read" it to me. A child over three may find it too simple to keep her attention.

4 out of 5 stars cute for young toddlers   December 28, 2008
My 9 months old likes this but the 22 month old already seems to be past this stage. It is good for very young kids.
